Stylish Sundays: Stripes and Plaid

Have I ever mentioned how much I love flannel shirts? No?

Okay well I love them because they’re soft and they’re cozy and they make me feel stupidly snuggly and very 90’s grunge at the same time. And I love Grunge.

These were actually taken before my Thanksgiving photo’s and I’m 100% certain that I was just running errands for thanksgiving.

Do you notice the Howl monster trying to hide behind me?

I love this photo because it has both mine and Howl’s feet in it, like he wanted to show off his feet too.

Stylish Sundays: Angela Chase

I am a big fan of the 90’s. I turned 4 in 1990, so everything I really remember about my childhood happened in the 90’s. My So Called Life and Are You Afraid Of The Dark were my absolute favorite shows, Clueless is still my favorite movie and Placebo is still my favorite band. So of course I’m a big fan of the 90’s Grunge revival that’s happening right now. This outfit was a complete accident. I hang my long sleeved shirts and button downs on the same rail as my dresses and I completely forgot about this flannel. So I was flipping through my closet and this dress and top were right next to each other.

Since  this tweet conversation happened after I bought this dress,

Stylish Sundays: Ladylike

I know it’s Monday, and not at all Sunday, but yesterday was my dad’s belated birthday party and I forgot to schedule the post to go live while I was gone.

We are finally caught up to now with my outfit photos. These were taken Last Sunday when I was feeling particularly girly. I seriously think it’s the new hair cut. I’ve discovered I don’t like it any other way but wavy/curly and I find that I’m dressing that way more often.

This top is seriously the last thing I ever bought from Forever 21, and I honestly forgot it was from there until I checked the tag.

I curled my hair with the Conair YouCurl Infiniti tapered wand and then brushed it out. This seems to be my go to style, it’s my absolute favorite way of wearing my hair since I cut it off. It it’s straight I feel like it’s a little helmet-ish because of the bangs, and if I put it up I just feel weird because it’s short.

I love these shoes! I’ve had them for a couple years for now, and they remain favorites. I always feel very princessy and ladylike whenever I wear them.

Do you have anything that makes you feel special when you wear it?

Stylish Sundays: Coral Gingham

My husband got me my first pair of Keds for Mother’s Day, and I just couldn’t wait to wear them. Ever since I unwrapped them I had this outfit in mind to wear with them. I thought the colors were too perfect. Very feminine and very matchy matchy.

Technically I’m not supposed to be standing without my crutches. And I have them, just off camera. If you look really closely you can see that my knee is slightly bent and I’m not putting any weight on my swollen foot.

My necklace is the Rose Gold Lovers Locket from Jewelmint that I bought a couple years ago. It’s probably my second favorite necklace, next to my bow necklace from Kate Spade.

I’m so in love with these shoes! They’re so bright and fun, and they just make me insanely happy every time I look at them.

You can also see how bad my ankle looks in that last photo. I’ve started doing rehab on it, and it was looking better. However recently a lady ran into that ankle with her cart, and it got more swollen, so I’ll be heading off to a doctor soon to have it checked out.

Tell me in the comments below: Have you ever worn an outfit this matchy matchy? And what are your absolute favorite shoes?

Stylish Sundays or Comic Books

I know today’s post is going up late, it’s been a very busy day,and I just lost track of time. There is a bit of a back story behind the local I chose for this weeks outfit pictures. My dad collects comics, he has since he was a kid. He actually taught me to read using the names on his Character Cards. That’s not the actual name of the cards, but they’re like baseball cards for comic book characters. Both he and my mother play role playing games. That’s actually adorably how they met. I spent a lot of time as a child exploring comic shops because of this, most specifically Comic Book World. So when a comic shop opened up a few towns over from where I live I had to check it out. Then I discovered the owner had hand painted on a super cool Spiderman on the side of his shop, and had a cool poster collage on his window. So I decided that it was the perfect place to take this weeks photos, and after obtaining permission did just that. So to make a long story short (Too Late!) lets jump into the outfit post.

I swear my hair isn’t that blond in real life, it’s just the lighting.

This outfit was really easy and comfortable, but I felt like it didn’t look like I thought it would when I planned it out on my head. While the Images are great, I feel like this wasn’t the most flattering outfit I’ve ever worn. So why did I put it up? Because this isn’t stylized, these outfits are actually things I wear in my day to day life. After I we took these photos, I went shopping. That haul will be up in the next couple of days.
P.S. When I was little I wanted to be Kitty Pride or Jubilee.
