I’ve been outrageously impatient for spring weather, there’s been more snow at the end of this winter than there has been the rest of winter, but thankfully it’s recently been warmer.

I love this skirt, my cousin bought it for me from H&M the last time we went shopping together. It’s a high waisted jersey midi skirt and it’s really comfortable to wear.

I adore this lipstick, it’s definitely going to be my go too color for spring. It’s a lovely color and it’s long lasting without being outrageously drying.

Stylish Sundays: Stripes and Plaid

Have I ever mentioned how much I love flannel shirts? No?

Okay well I love them because they’re soft and they’re cozy and they make me feel stupidly snuggly and very 90’s grunge at the same time. And I love Grunge.

Stylish Sundays: Found

I did a post recently called Finding Me, and I mentioned that I had made some changes to my blog. I feel like at some point I pushed myself aside and tried to simultaneously be me and mainstream. It didn’t work. Instead I felt like a hot mess and had a major existential crisis. I didn’t like who I was, how I was dressing, what I was reading and who I was turning myself into. I felt like I lost my edge. That little bit that made me feel like a bad ass when I got up in the morning. The bit of myself that made me want to get up in the morning. I’m working hard to get that bit back. And soon I’ll be announcing something new.

This outfit feels like me

This was taken at the end of the day, and my makeup was absolutely wrecked. But I’m wearing Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Hourglass Blush, Marc Jacobs The Lolita Palette, Makeup Forever Smokey Extravagant Mascara, YSL Lip Gloss in Grenade Peptide.

I adore this pen necklace. It’s amazing, and it works, which is even better.

And this nail polish is definitely an amazing color for Autumn. It’s Lancome’s Flirty Red and it was from their Christmas Collection last year so I don’t think it’s available anymore, but it’s a gorgeous blackened red that makes me feel amazing.

Which brings me to my shoes. I can’t even with how much I adore these shoes. I got them forever ago, and I adore them.

Stylish Sundays: Business Floral

I was getting dressed the other day and realized there’s been a lot of jeans and tee shirts lately, and my dressier, cuter clothes were getting neglected.

Before I show you what makeup I wore, I’d like to point out that both Howl and I got groomed:

Howl goes to Pawsitively Purrfect in Florence Kentucky, which we absolutely adore. Honestly, they do the best job on Howl’s fur, and he always looks so perfect when we pick him up. And I see Christie at Tonya’s Image and Wellness Salon. I adore Christie, and she’s probably the only hair dresser I’ve ever been to multiple times. This time we took about two more inches off for a style that’s a bit closer to how Taylor Swift has her hair currently. I’m completely in love with it, for right now, but I don’t think I’ll be keeping it this short forever. If you’re in the Crestview, Kentucky Area and you need a haircut or color, then definitely go see her.

Stylish Sundays: Coral Gingham

My husband got me my first pair of Keds for Mother’s Day, and I just couldn’t wait to wear them. Ever since I unwrapped them I had this outfit in mind to wear with them. I thought the colors were too perfect. Very feminine and very matchy matchy.

Technically I’m not supposed to be standing without my crutches. And I have them, just off camera. If you look really closely you can see that my knee is slightly bent and I’m not putting any weight on my swollen foot.

My necklace is the Rose Gold Lovers Locket from Jewelmint that I bought a couple years ago. It’s probably my second favorite necklace, next to my bow necklace from Kate Spade.

I’m so in love with these shoes! They’re so bright and fun, and they just make me insanely happy every time I look at them.

You can also see how bad my ankle looks in that last photo. I’ve started doing rehab on it, and it was looking better. However recently a lady ran into that ankle with her cart, and it got more swollen, so I’ll be heading off to a doctor soon to have it checked out.
