I’ve been outrageously impatient for spring weather, there’s been more snow at the end of this winter than there has been the rest of winter, but thankfully it’s recently been warmer.

I love this skirt, my cousin bought it for me from H&M the last time we went shopping together. It’s a high waisted jersey midi skirt and it’s really comfortable to wear.

I adore this lipstick, it’s definitely going to be my go too color for spring. It’s a lovely color and it’s long lasting without being outrageously drying.

Summer FOTD

I decided to do my bog standard Summer FOTD for today’s post. I usually keep my makeup the same and only change something like my lipgloss or a blush as the seasons change, and I do the same thing every day, but sometimes it turns out better some days than other days. This was one of those days.

I’m wearing Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, with Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I kept my eye makeup really simple just using the champagne color from the Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette and I tightlined with Urban Decay’s Bourbon 24/7 liner. I finished my eyes with YSL’s Babydoll Mascara which is my absolute favorite for summer. On my cheeks is The Balms Frat Boy and then Mary Lou Manizer dusted lightly over that and applied more heavily as my highlighter. My lipgloss is Hourglasses Lush, which wasn’t my favorite when I bought them but it has become my favorite.

I like how light and simple this makeup is for summer, but honestly it’s just a really nice everyday look that could work easily in any season.

My shirt is from Sevenly’s Shelterwings Campaign, and the proceeds went to helping victims of domestic violence. My hair was curled with the Conair YouCurl Infiniti and brushed out the day before and all I did today was brush it and add a bit of dry shampoo.

YSL Gloss Volupté Review

I’ve been meaning to do this post for a while now, since it seems like I bought this gloss forever ago. Since I’m not doing much of anything thanks to my ankle, now seems like as good a time as any.

I bought the YSL GLoss Volupté in Grenade Pépite, which is a gorgeous watermelon pink.

There are 3 different types of gloss in the line, and this is one of the Golden Shimmers. They also have iridescent shimmer and no shimmer. This gloss is almost opaque, but still a little sheer which gives you great color pay off.

I have no complaints about this gloss. It’s gorgeous and it wears really well. It’s probably my most worn gloss.

Stylish Sundays: Okay, Okay

A while ago I professed my love for The Fault In Our Stars and all other things written by John Green.

Well I when I was wandering around Barnes and Noble I found this shirt, and normally I don’t buy tee shirts that have to do with books or movies or anything like that, but I just had to buy this one.

Normally I wear a large in Women’s clothing, but this is a boy cut shirt so I wear a small. I know because my husband is a Medium and his shirts are too big on me.

I wore it with my favorite black H&M pants and my new Valentines socks from Target. It was comfortable and perfect for curling up on the couch and reading. (Which I have to say was another John Green Novel, haul and reviews coming soon.)

On My face: Nars Tinted Moisturizer, Hourglass Hidden Concealer, The Balm Hot Mama, The Balm Mary Lou Manizer, YSL Shocking Mascara, and Chanel Glossimer Satinette Lipgloss.

I’m actually a really big fan of this shirt, it’s comfortable and has exactly the fit I like in men’s shirts.

Stylish Sundays: Valentine

Since Friday was Valentines day, I thought I’d show you what I wore when we went out to dinner to celebrate, and what my present that I hinted about on instagram is.

First my present since I’m just dying over it still:

It’s the Kate Spade Cove Street Irini, and it’s absolutely perfect. I am obsessed with Kate Spade and have wanted a K.S. Purse for quite sometime. Since my husband noticed I’ve just been grabbing my wallet when I go out lately, he decided that this one would be perfect because it’s small and it’s a crossbody.

I love the lining because it’s brightly colored and makes grabbing anything an absolute breeze, which isn’t a problem right now because my wallet takes up most of the space, I need to get a smaller wallet, and I’ve already picked out a couple I’m in love with.

This is honestly the most perfect present I could ever ask for.
