Stylish Sundays: First Of Fall

This is my first official Fall outfit post, since today is the first day of fall. I along with most of the fashion world, absolutely adore fall. It kicks of the coziest time of the year and everything changes. From now until just after Valentines Day the world is wonderful.

Of course since I’m still ill, the first outfit is just a toe in to fall fashion. I adore these green pants from H&M, last seen here. And this studded top from Gap is one of my absolute favorites, last seen here. My shoes are also studded loafers, that are the brand Wanted and I got from DSW.

For my bracelet I just wore an H&M black and gold bangle, and on my nails is Lancome’s Noir Caviar which is still going strong as my all time favorite. I actually think I might need to buy a new bottle soon, because I’m seriously running low.

Here’s a better look at the shoes. I absolutely love these, and even though I’ve worn them in all seasons, I think they’re at their best when paired with fall fashions.

Howl is doing much better, which I am very excited about. This is his first fall ever. Since he was born in February. And I am so excited for him to play in leaves and go trick or treating with my son. And honestly? Winter was so weird last year I’m not even sure he saw snow last year.

Fall is definitely off to a very good start.

Stylish Sundays Old Man Chic or Easy Goings

This weeks outfit post is another easy summer outfit, but I still feel like it’s really dressed up.

My Shoes are from the brand Wanted via DSW

This was another really comfortable and easy summer outfit. However my husband said that both the shoes and the hat look like something an old man would wear. I’m perfectly fine with that, but it is a little hilarious, I now have old man shoes and hat, and old lady pants.

Here’s howl looking adorable as always. He was trying to run up and chew the camera so he was tugging pretty hard at his leash.

Stylish Sundays or Trendy Old Lady Pants

Happy Easter! This post is going up late because I had a family day yesterday.

As you saw in my haul on Friday I picked up some Floral pants and an Oatmeal colored Tee. Since I’m clearly 6 years old I couldn’t wait to wear them, and decided that even though I wasn’t going anywhere with nothing special planned, there was no reason I couldn’t get a bit dolled up. So I did…

and then proceeded to take way too many pictures.

I’m wearing an Oatmeal colored Tee, Floral Pants and a Rose Gold Hair Barrette you can’t see from H&M, Studded Loafers by Wanted that I got I DSW, and a Pen Necklace that my good friend Mrs. Cannady got me for my Birthday, which was inspired by my obsession with Joan from Mad Men’s Necklace that I was obsessed with.

Sometimes I forget what an amazing Photographer my husband is. It’s easy to overlook that when he’s always taking outfit photos for me and we’re in a rush to get going somewhere else. However this time we didn’t have anywhere else to be, and were just taking photos for the sake of taking photos.

I adore they way the photos turned out, they ended up being less posed for outfit photos and more like an actual photo shoot.

So lets focus on the details. I adore the pen necklace and even more so that it actually works. I feel like it made this outfit less trendy and a bit more professional. Like I could easily be someones assistant somewhere. It’s probably one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever received from a friend, next to a tote bag that T randomly snuck into my house one day to surprise me with.

And the colors in these pants are amazing. They’re bright and springy, but I feel like the black background and the silhouette of them tones it down a bit. The fabric is really nice, and they fit amazing.

The Oatmeal tee is super comfortable and was really easy to wear. I definitely want this top in every possible color it’s made in. I can think of a thousand different ways to wear it.

My makeup was really simple just Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in B10, Eyeshadows that the names have rubbed off the bottom, but they are neutrals, YSL Shocking Mascara, Nars Deep Throat Blush and you’ll find out what’s on my lips on Monday.

Clearly I need my bangs trimmed, but I’m liking the messy look for now. On my nails, which you can catch a glimpse of in this picture is another sneak peek at an upcoming blog post.

And finally the arty black and white shot. I actually adore this picture, and am vain enough to want a print of it to hang in my house. My husband actually has some amazing black and whites he’s taken around our town and the next town over. I’m crazy in love with some of them. I’ll do a picture post of my favorites sometime this summer if he’ll let me.

What I wore: Menswear

For today’s post I decided to show you an outfit I wore to go shopping not to long ago. This is less stylized than the outfit post I posted not to long ago. It had been a long day and I was tired by the time I got home. I promise the next one will be better. The majority of this outfit is from H&M.

The top is from the men’s section, and I got it a size up from what I would normally buy so I can share it with my husband. It’s pretty awesome, it has a red phone box on it and is a photo taken of a busy street at night.
I call the pants my old man pants. They’re actually from the women’s section and are brown, black and cream check. I think the fit of these pants is kinda awkward, because of where the pockets sit, but it doesn’t really bother me. I really like the ankle zips though, and the slightly cropped length. I actually bought these pants when I was obsessed with Mad Men because they have a very 60′s feel to me.
My shoes are studded loafers from Wanted and I love them. They’re comfortable and easy to walk in. I bought them, last summer or fall, I’m not really sure, at DSW for about 24$.
For accessories I’m wearing bangles from H&M that I got in a set of 3, they’re orange, black and cream, set in silver and gold. My earrings, which you can’t see, are from Kate Spade. They’re the clear gumdrop earrings set in silver. I’m pretty in love with them.
I kept my makeup very minimal, just a bit of my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in B10, Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach blush, Lancôme Brown eyeliner and brown shadow, and YSL shocking Mascara.
This outfit is very menswear-ish. I’m pretty in love with it and will probably repeat it as is. It was comfortable and I felt good in it. And really that’s what style is about, wearing what you feel good in.
