Stylish Sundays: Stripes and Sperry’s

This is another before I got my hair cut outfit, I’ve got one more coming that I might do midweek and then I’ll be all caught up to now.

Have I mentioned before how much I love these peach pants?

Because I’m kind of obsessed with them. I’m pretty sure that it’s because they’re ankle length. Because I just ordered two more pairs of ankle length pants. I’m also a huge fan of this shirt. It’s stripey, and cozy and perfect. I wear it way more than I should, and it’s been washed a lot. But it’s held up really well, so I’ll probably wear it til it’s falling apart.

I don’t actually miss my long hair. Normally whenever I get it cut, I do. And I tell people to never let me cut my hair again. But this time is different. Looking back at pictures from when I had long hair, I don’t miss it at all. I’m so glad I cut it off and I’m excited about keeping it this length, or maybe even going an inch or two shorter.

I love these shoes, but they still aren’t broken in yet. I skipped the no show socks this day and ended up with terrible blisters on the backs of my heels. And I didn’t have any bandaids with me so I ended up driving home from the store barefoot. Which let me tell you, feels weird. Like Really wrong. I need to learn to get some comfortable flats to keep in the car.

What’s your current favorite clothing item?

Stylish Sundays: July 4th Inspiration

I was getting dressed one morning and realized I looked really patriotic. At first I thought about saving this post for July 4th, because I tend to just wear cozy shorts and a tee on the actual 4th out of practicality and sheer laziness.

But then I decided I should share the outfit now, so you guys could get an idea of something different to wear.

I curled my hair with my flat iron and then pulled it back with a Red Spotted Emi-Jay Hairtie. I told you I’m obsessed with these ties, I don’t use anything else in my hair.

I bought these Sperry’s from Journey’s last year and I still absolutely adore them. They’re so comfortable and worn in and perfect. I can easily see wearing these til they fall apart, which will be a very long time from now. Sperry’s are incredibly well made.

Shoe Haul: Sperry

Recently Sperry had a Sperry Spring Escape instagram contest with one of my favorite bloggers Carly from The College Prepster. The prizes were 5 pairs of Sperrys, and I was lucky enough to win one of the pairs.

I chose the A/O Sahara (Honey Sole), and I am completely in love with them. And I purchased a pair of the Raspberry Sorbet Laces to relace them with.

Howl totally approves of them too!

I am so completely in love with them. Even though they’re brand new, and I haven’t fully broken them in yet, they’re already so comfortable. The pink laces are so fun and bright, and were completely easy to put in, even though it looks like it would be kinda hard.

I can’t wait to wear these all summer long like I did my red Sperrys last year. I even wore them on what was probably the most exciting day of last year for me. The day we brought Howl home.

I have always loved Sperry shoes, and even though I just got this pair, I can’t wait to add more to my collection.

I thought I’d end this post with another picture of Howl. The top photo was taken yesterday, and this photo was taken the day we brought him home, it’s amazing to see how much he’s grown.

Let me know in the comments below if you love Sperrys as much as I do, and don’t forget to subscribe on bloglovin, because on Sunday I’ll have a post up of how I styled my new Sperrys.

I definitely need to pick up more of these Loft Girl tees, because I adore all the scenes. They don’t always have them though so that’s why I don’t have more of them.’

Blogmas Day 2: Cozy Up for Winter

I think any of you that have been following me for awhile know that I definitely prefer Cozy to Cold, but that I don’t believe that you should sacrifice your  sense of style for it. So last night I put together a look board for my idea of a perfect cozy outfit for this year.

Fashion and Happy Things! Blogmas Day 2: Cozy Up for Winter
Pastels are in this winter, as are sweatshirts so not only is Sweatshirt from Victoria’s Secret in Blush completely adorable, I absolutely love the stars, but it’s also completely on trend. I went with these AE Skinnies, because American Eagle really do make some great jeans. Then for boots these Dylan Riding Boots from Sperry are perfect and practical. For accessories I thought that this cable knit hat from Topshop was adorable, and no look post or wish list made by me is complete with out something from Kate Spade, I love these bow earrings, and I thought that this Be Dazzling iPhone case had a great sentiment. Plus it’s glittery and something about winter just screams glitter to me. Then continuing with the pastel theme, this Butter London Polish in Sprog just looked so wintery to me.
I’d probably wear this outfit out running errands. I think it’s the perfect thing to wear to pick up a movie and some take out, before coming home and changing into your pj’s.
