I thought I’d talk a bit about the Victoria’s Secret Dry Shampoo I bought, and will be repurchasing this weekend since I’m out of it, and almost out of shampoo. I waited til I was almost out of shampoo because Victoria’s Secret almost always has a 3 for $24 deal on their hair care products.

This is hands down the best Dry Shampoo I’ve ever used, just a little bit goes a long way, and it leaves your hair clean and volumized. It is a bit sticky which is weird but I actually kinda like it. It also smells really great, a little floral and soft, and almost but not quite powdery. I was Batiste obsessed for a while, and my husband still uses it when I remember to buy it for him, but this one is definitely my all time favorite.

What Dry Shampoo’s have you tried? Which one’s your all time favorite.

I know, I’ve managed to mention Victoria’s Secret in almost every post recently, and it’s starting to look like I should change my name to V.S. Anonymous. It’s okay, I promise that it’s only going to get worse. Seriously.

Do you ever do that, just get seriously obsessed with a company, and either buy all their stuff, or spend hours browsing their site wishing you could buy all their stuff? I go through phases, last year it was Topshop, and Jack Wills, but I never bought anything from them. But I’ll always love H&M, Kate Spade, Emi-Jay and Victoria’s Secret.

Since I did a casual look and a Dressy look last year, I decided to do the same this year.

I started the casual outfit off with this Cardigan from Jack Wills (similar) because it just looks so cozy. Then I added this Duofold Plaid Shirt from Gilly Hicks. Keeping in mind that Thanksgiving is a Food Holiday and I, like Dean Winchester, believe pie is everything, decided to copy last year and go with Leggings for my bottoms. I love these tuxedo leggings from Topshop, Only because the Gilly Hicks top is long enough to cover your bum. These Sperry Dylan boots are gorgeous and I want them in my closet right now. And I finished off the outfit with these bow earrings from Kate Spade.

For the Dressy outfit, I once again took inspiration from Blair Waldorf’s Thanksgiving outfit in Season 1. That is of course my favorite episode. I chose this Cream Lace dress from H&M. Then I thought some cranberry colored tights would look amazing with it, so I picked these from Modcloth. For shoes I went with the pointed toe Brogue Bluchers from Zara, which are on my to buy list. I added this coat from Zara because I loved the color and the collar of it. For Jewelry I thought these Amethyst Studs from Kate Spade and this gold necklace with Curved Bar from H&M (similar) rounded out the outfit nicely.

This year I’m probably going to go with something close to the second outfit to wear for Thanksgiving day. At least that’s my idea right now. I do have 28 days to change my mind.

Then as I was looking at PacSun for ideas, I saw holographic oxfords and immediately decided that if I were dressing up this year I would be Leighannsays for Halloween. Youtubers are the new CW stars. I look to them for fashion advice more so than anywhere else and I do have a few favorites. So I’m going to do a little mini series and make wishboards for youtubers I would be for Halloween. Then at the end of it I’m going to actually dress up and show you which Youtuber I decided to dress up as.

Because who doesn’t adore her and her “I do what I want” attitude. Leighann is someone to be admired not because she’s pretty, but because she’s smart and fun and her life is a little bit messy and she shares that with us.

When making this wishboard I tried to think about what things I’ve actually seen her wear.  I know that she was big on the Holographic shoe trend and has some super cute oxfords that she’s worn and since the oxfords are what gave me the idea I had to include them. Then there’s this black skater skirt which is adorable and I could easily see Leighann wearing and I’m pretty sure she has something super similar to this cross top. I should have added in more jewelry because I know that Leighann has said in the past more is more, but I wanted to keep the wish board uncrowded. I loved this arrow ring and skull bangle for this look and since she almost always wears studs I went with these because I know she has a heart pair that’s she’s worn a few times. If it is cold where you live then I recommend switching out the skirt for the Leigh Jeans from Topshop and wearing a fitted sweater with an animal on it. Preferably from Target’s girls section if it’ll fit you.

What youtuber would you dress up as?

As you guys may or may not have guessed I’m way in to Valentines Day. I know is a greeting card holiday for teens in puppy love, but really I love, love. I’m a bit of a Holiday Head though I get excited about and put way to much effort into all holidays. Okay my whole family does it (seriously Dad, extra Cabbage this year for St. Paddy’s Day!). It was so much fun growing up anticipating holidays and their movies, and little treats or traditions my family had, that I want to keep that alive, not only for myself, but for my son, and my husband who kinda thinks I’m nuts. Thankfully he also thinks I’m adorable, So I’m fine with that.

 But I digress, so lets get into the Tag:

1. What is your favorite Valentines Day treat? 
 Heart Shaped Doughnuts from Dunkin Donuts, I’m a huge Doughnut fan though so any kind of Doughnut for any holiday and I’m happy


2. Sweethearts or chocolate covered strawberries?
 Chocolate Covered Strawberries, I actually really love fruit, so I’d be happy with the strawberries with out the chocolate too.


3. What was your favorite Valentines day memory?
 Our first Valentines together my husband and I were broke, so he made me a scavenger hunt that led to card he made himself complete with a glittery heart. It was kinda amazing and I remember one of the clues was a C.D. with the song that he would always sing to me on it. You can hear the song here.


4. What movie would you rather watch on Valentine’s Day: Pretty Woman or You’ve Got Mail?
You’ve Got Mail. It has Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, The Little Shop Around The Corner, the big mean bookstore, and old school AOL. It’s just one of my all time favorite movies, I remember seeing it in Theaters with my Aunts and my Grandmother


5. What celeb would you not mind having as your Valentine?
 Daniel Radcliffe, what can I say I like short, smart guys who are into punk, for Gay Rights. (Much like my husband except he’s better because, to paraphrase Paul from 500 Days Of Summer, he’s real)



6. What would you do on your perfect Valentine’s date?
 I would spend the day getting coffee and heading to a bookstore. I love books, and there’s no better way to celebrate a day, than with a stack of books. Then finishing off the night with a film either out or at home


7. Red or pink lips on Valentines Day?
 Pink, I haven’t found the perfect pink yet, but I think YSL’s Glossy Stains might have it.

8. What is your ideal Valentine’s Day date outfit?
 If I’m going to the bookstore or staying home, then a pair of great skinny jeans, converse, a casual top and a jacket.
If we’re going to a fancier date then a gorgeous dress, flats and a trench.

9. Homemade or store-bought gifts?
 I like a Mixture of Both, Make me a card, buy me a present. I’ve gotten some great homemade gifts, and some amazing presents bought, guess it depends on the year

10. Would you wear your hair up or hair down for a date night?
It depends on what I’m wearing but mostly up and probably curly.

As I mentioned in my post The Romance In Traveling and showed in my post How Shoes Change The Attitude Of An Outfit I like wearing Converse with dresses. The first dress option I have is from American Eagle and is a casual dress that I plan on purchasing this spring because it’s adorable, and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it this summer. I’d pair it up with the Be Mine Pendant from Kate Spade and this Buckle Enamel Bracelet from Michael Kors.

The next outfit is much dressier and it’s this cute floral shift dress from Atelier 61 with these Earrings by Topshop and a Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in Black. I’d probably wear this on a date or to a cocktail party where the guest list wasn’t so stiff. Or if you’re still in school a dance is a great option, that way you can dance all night without having to take off your shoes. I’m kinda really in love with this look.

Then I have a Chambray from Madewell with a a Skater Skirt from Topshop and a Kate Spade watch I’d probably wear this more early spring or late fall, but I think this is a darling outfit for a bookshop excursion or brunch at a bit of a nicer restaurant, not fancy, but not hole in the wall either.

 The last outfit is a Slub Knit Tee from Topshop, American Eagle Colored Denim Midi Shorts with a the Hold The Phone Pendant from Kate Spade and some Lacquered Spade Bangles. This is pretty much my summer uniform, American Eagle Shorts are my favorite, and I tend to wear them all summer long, then all you need is a comfortable tee and some colorful Jewelry. 

I’m sure you noticed that most of the things are either Topshop, Kate Spade or American Eagle, I’m kinda obsessed, but if you’re a regular reader you already knew that. Everyone has their favorite brands though, weather they realize it or not. 


How do you wear your converse readers? Or are you anti-converse?

I’m definitely an indoor kind of person, but a storm of any type gets me excited. Mostly i like to stay inside and watch out my window, but I’m game for a romantic walk through the snow or a busy fun day sledging and snowman building. So even though we’re sort of snowed in today, I don’t mind it at all. I didn’t have anywhere important to be so I think it’s a perfect way to spend the day. As I’m sure you know because I’ve mentioned it before I love bundling up and being cozy and snug in a sweater and boots. And since its the perfect sort of blustery day, I was thinking if the Internet were my closet what would I wear today?

I would definitely start with this sweater and these jeans from Topshop, then I’m still completely obsessed with the frequency flecked cowl from Anthropologie. Of course I’d need this coat from Superdry and I’m really in love with these gloves from Kate Spade. For boots it’s obviously these red hunter boots with cream wellie socks, did you expect anything else? To top it all of I’d have to go with a hat from Superdry (you see what I did there don’t ya), really Superdry do the best hats.

Actually I’m so in love with that coat that I plan on buying it this spring. I always do  my big winter purchases in spring and summer. It gives me time to get it fitted if it needs it, and keeps me from shopping out of desperation. Desperation shopping is the worst because you usually end up spending way to much on something you don’t love.

If the Internet were your closet what would you wear today? I know this post is super short but I’m still technically on my mini break. I told you I couldn’t stay away. Next post will be my what I got for Christmas post, I plan on taking the pictures tomorrow.
