Stylish Sundays: Simplicity
I don't know about you, but what I wear is very inspired by what I'm into at that moment. Currently I've been raiding my husbands music and listening to a lot of British Punk. In high school I listened to a lot of punk music. And I did the full on punk thing, Plaid Skirt, trashy tanks, studded belts, shredded jeans and a grungy flannel that I swiped from my dad.

Stylish Sundays: Coral Gingham
My husband got me my first pair of Keds for Mother's Day, and I just couldn't wait to wear them. Ever since I unwrapped them I had this outfit in mind to wear with them. I thought the colors were too perfect. Very feminine and very matchy matchy.
Outfit: Coral Cardigan - Forever 21, White Tee- H&M, Peach Ankle Pants: H&M Nails: Dior Bouquet Shoes: Keds
Technically I'm not supposed to be standing without my crutches. And I have them, just off camera. If you look really closely you can see that my knee is slightly bent and I'm not putting any weight on my swollen foot.
My necklace is the Rose Gold Lovers Locket from Jewelmint that I bought a couple years ago. It's probably my second favorite necklace, next to my bow necklace from Kate Spade.
On My Face: Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Marc Jacobs The Lolita Palette, YSL Shocking Mascara, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush, Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lipgloss in Lush.
I'm so in love with these shoes! They're so bright and fun, and they just make me insanely happy every time I look at them.
You can also see how bad my ankle looks in that last photo. I've started doing rehab on it, and it was looking better. However recently a lady ran into that ankle with her cart, and it got more swollen, so I'll be heading off to a doctor soon to have it checked out.
Tell me in the comments below: Have you ever worn an outfit this matchy matchy? And what are your absolute favorite shoes?

Stylish Sundays: Tomboy
When I was younger I was a Tomboy. In Kindergarten my parents had to fight to get me to wear a dress, and I only did with the concession that I could wear my X-men shoes with it. In 3 and 4th grade I constantly wore Yellow Leopard Print High Top Converse. They were my favorite shoes ever. Probably still are, those shoes rocked, and I cried when I outgrew them.
So today since I'm still feeling a bit crappy and my ankle still hurts, I decided to pull from my tomboy roots.
H&M Men's Tee, Madewell Rail Straight Jeans, Raspberry High top Converse, H&M Cargo Jacket
I'll confess I swiped this tee from my husband's closet. It's a comfort thing for me. Whenever I'm sick, hungover or just depressed I steal his tees. He pretty much exclusively wears H&M tees, and they are the softest most comfortable tees ever.
These converse I bought a few years ago and they don't get very much wear. I was so excited about them when I bought them, but I never feel like I've styled them very well. However since I need the support for my ankle, and I can lace them up over the wrap, I think for the next week or so these will be getting a lot more wear.
My makeup is super simple:
Nars Sheer Glow in Siberia, Nars Pure Radiant Concealer in Chantilly, Nars Deep Throat, The Balm Mary Lou Manizer, Marc Jacobs The Lolita Palette, Benefit's Bad Gal Lash, and Victoria's Secret Strawberry Fizz lipgloss.
My hair is just in a simple side braid with a white Emi-Jay tie and my nails are unpainted and short. Crutches are horrible on your manicure.
I'm only using the crutches now if I have to walk for more than a few feet. I should probably still be on them all the time, but I am really Klutzy and I'm worried I'm going to hurt myself.

What I got for Mother's Day
I love presents.
How selfish of me right? But I do. I love presents for holidays, I love presents for anniversaries, I love presents for no reason. I just really love presents. Maybe it's because my husband and son get me the best presents ever.
A while ago, I was shopping in Sephora and I had my son with me. I must have swatched a million products and said I was in love with everything. But there was one product I really wanted and couldn't justify. My son, who was only 7 years old at the time, pulled aside an employee and asked her to write down the name.
He got me the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Luminous Flush. I'm obsessed with the one he picked out. It has more of the pink color than the highlighter in it, which is perfect since I want to use it as a daily blush.
I may have mentioned that I always make a list for my husband. It's a very detailed list with color, sizes links and any coupon codes. At the top of my list this year was workout gear. But he got me Keds instead.
Specifically the Coral Gingham Keds that I once saw Taylor Swift wearing and randomly said that I really loved those shoes.
And I'm so in love with them. Even more so that he paid attention to me and remembered that I really wanted those particular ones. Since my ankle is messed up I can't wear them yet, but I can't wait until I can! I plan on doing a wishboard on how I plan on styling them very soon.
I know I mentioned I would post a what I wore for mother's day. However the photos didn't turn out. We got some good ones of me and my son (which I'm not posting for his privacy) and a really great one of Howl.
It's definitely a win.

The Non Post
There will be a what I wore on Mother's Day post up later this week, and a what I got for Mother's Day, as soon as my husband edits the photos. However since he's currently doing literately everything while still working 9 to 5, it doesn't leave much time for him to do else.
So this is a non post, to say there will be some posts coming soon, and a of course it's accompanied by this adorable picture of Howl.
This was taken when we took the photos for Take A Hike. He's wearing a Worthy Dog Harness in Royal Blue, with a Top Paw Comfort Leash also in Royal Blue. He's also looking shaggy so he'll need a trip to the groomers soon. Probably beginning of next month will be his limit.
If you have any post ideas for me to do while I'm healing, and can't be on my foot, leave them in the comments below.

YSL Gloss Volupté Review
I've been meaning to do this post for a while now, since it seems like I bought this gloss forever ago. Since I'm not doing much of anything thanks to my ankle, now seems like as good a time as any.
I bought the YSL GLoss Volupté in Grenade Pépite, which is a gorgeous watermelon pink.
There are 3 different types of gloss in the line, and this is one of the Golden Shimmers. They also have iridescent shimmer and no shimmer. This gloss is almost opaque, but still a little sheer which gives you great color pay off.
I have no complaints about this gloss. It's gorgeous and it wears really well. It's probably my most worn gloss.
On My Face: Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, The Balm Hot Mama, The Balm Mary Lou Manizer, YSL Shocking Mascara, Marc Jacobs The Lolita, Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliners
Top: Loft
I can't wait to pick up another one. I kinda have my eye on Rose Jersey, which is a light natural pink with no shimmer.

Stylish Sundays: Injury
Remember how I said in this post that I was going to be working out more, and trying to take Howl for more runs? Well I won't be doing that for the next 6 weeks. I sprained my ankle and am on crutches for the time being. New posts will be scarce in the next few weeks.
